Old Tinny - Entry Two

So, I decided to see what I was in for with the transom board. Silly me! Apparently, I touched it too hard and the whole thing fell. I'm surprised I made the trip home without the motor falling off. The transom saver that I installed may have truly saved my butt in this case.

Yuck. As you can see, there's nothing left of this plywood. When Aidan and I picked it up, it waved in the breeze, like a piece of cloth. Good grief.

Here is the bare, nekkid transom. I need to clean it up and get a clear coat (or something like it) on there, and then reinstall a transom board.
I also picked up a Fulton motor bracket for the Minn Kota troller for a song, as the transom is too narrow for the two motors to fit side-by-side without the props hitting each other. I don't want the main motor to be too far off center, as it will make the boat handle poorly.
