Skating Coverage
A bit of history on the Oaks Park Skating Rink:
- As the park/rink sits right on the east bank of the Willamette River, the entire wood rink floor floats in case of flooding. Pretty cool, eh?
- Oaks Park has been open since 1905, when Portlanders arrived by boat, horseback, foot, trolley or automobile. The park has its own boat launch and dock.

This is some video of Aidan and Momma on the 'raceway' at the rink. Aidan has a cold at the moment, so this was the last good footage we got before he didn't want to have anything more to do with cameras of any sort, due to his feeling hazy-dazy from the cold medicine...

I guess Momma got tired of filming at the end here. She seems to have laid down...
This is Aidan on the hills. When we go in this area, we "head for the hills".

Aidan didn't want us taking pictures or video of him today, so he would not look. Most of the still shots we got of him were of the side of his head. Here's a video example...

Aidan, Dude! I've nearly forgotten what you look like! Please look into the camera.
Excellent skating though. Even if I can only see the side of your head.
